The main application of braided quartz sleeves is the jacketing of transport rollers in horizontal furnaces for glass tempering operating with very high temperatures. Its special braid makes the surface of the sleeve smooth, without undulations or major unevenness ensuring there are no unwanted spots produced on the glass.
